Information:

I had Christopher follow along in a book that is in Spanish and I had the english version as I read out loud. I decided that I would read some in english to him and then he would read some in spanish to me. Then we would switch and practice reading in the other language. He really liked this and thought it was fun. He was going through the spanish book a couple of words at a time teaching me how to pronounce them. He liked it a lot that I was also trying to understand his language too. He would laugh with me when I would mess up a word that is in Spanish. I had him read in english, and he did a really good job, he is able to read the words pretty well but struggled to comprehend what it meant sometimes. He also liked to play with play-doh when I read out loud with him that way he had something to do with his hands and he would create what I was reading about.

Hice que Christopher me siguiera en un libro que está en español y tuve la versión en inglés mientras leía en voz alta. Decidí que le leería algo en inglés y luego él me leería algo en español para mí. Luego cambiaríamos y practicaríamos la lectura en el otro idioma. Realmente le gustó esto y pensó que era divertido. Estaba leyendo el libro en español un par de palabras a la vez, enseñándome cómo pronunciarlas. Le gustó mucho que yo también tratara de entender su idioma. Él se reiría conmigo cuando me equivocaría una palabra en español. Le pedí que leyera en inglés, e hizo un muy buen trabajo, es capaz de leer las palabras bastante bien, pero a veces le costó comprender lo que significaba. También le gustaba jugar con play-doh cuando leía en voz alta con él de esa manera, tenía algo que ver con sus manos y creaba lo que estaba leyendo.
